SOFIA™ is a legitimate competition. We are not a pay-for-review, not a pay-for-award entity. We are a contest, wherein entrants are competing with other entries in their genre. We evaluate entries based on the merit of the music and all the elements of said music. We use no other dynamic to make this evaluation; we do not factor in the number of followers, reviews, streams, or any other popularity numbers into our evaluation process.

To be considered for a SOFIA™, artists must be fully independent. This means that the artist is NOT signed with, or receiving finances from, any of the four major labels (WMG, Sony BMG, EMI, and Universal) or subsidiaries thereof.

All works submitted must be the Artist’s original work. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are the creator of the work submitted and that you own all rights to the work.

We accept audio submissions and do not require any written or visual representation of the work.

Music will be evaluated based on melody, composition, lyrics, and the quality of the performance.

You retain full rights to any work you submit.
